About
“Dusrust intikhab raastay ki tawalt ko kum kar deta hai” Right choice will make the journey worthwhile- Bano Qudsia’s passion for writing made her life long journey as one of the most celebrated author of Urdu literature . The artwork depicts her efforts and contribution towards the Urdu language. She was a renowned playwright and novelist. Her whole life, she wrote for different mediums including radio plays, dramas for television and published her novels, she later completed her husband, Ashfaq Ahmed’s autobiography. Her writing style was philosophical and very simple revolving around the subject of love and family, hence she gained much popularity among the people. The artwork is from a series of illustrations that are a part of an exhibit "Poets, Writers and Philosophers" at the National history Museum, Lahore curated by The Citizens Archive of Pakistan. An exhibition that pays homage to the remarkable poetic, literary and philosophical heritage of Pakistan.
